Client Money Protection
Client Money Protection is a scheme that reimburses landlords and tenants should a letting agent misappropriate their rent, deposit or other client funds. Ocean Properties is a member of the Propertymark Client Money Protection Scheme. This ensures that all client monies are protected and kept in a secure separate client money account.
The Property Ombudsman Scheme
Ocean Properties is a member of The Property Ombudsman Scheme. The Property Ombudsman (TPO) is a free independent service that looks into customer complaints about agents.
Deposit Protection
Virtually all tenant's deposits must be placed in a tenancy deposit protection (TDP) scheme.
These government-backed schemes ensure that the tenants will get their deposit back if they:
- meet the terms of their tenancy agreement
- do not damage the property
- pay the rent and bills
